For being such a small island; Gili T has tons of places to eat! You can easily find all different types of food in every price range. There are so many unique restaurants offering stunning views, nightly bonfires or live music; it`s easy to get overwhelmed when trying to decide where to go. Keep reading for some of our favorite places to eat on Gili Trawangan!
Pituq was my very favorite place to eat on Gili Trawangan with its beautiful setting and the most amazing food! The menu includes vegetarian, fusion, Indonesian and international cuisine. Each table is a private hut surrounded by the garden and the prices are very reasonable. Since we last visited they have opened up a sister restaurant on the island; Pituq Waroeng.
Our Recommendations: The 7 Veggie Dip, Jackfruit Yellow Curry, Rosemarine Moussaka, The Urap Urap, The Smoothies and everything else on the menu!
Tucked away down a road off the main strip; Jali Kitchen is well worth the 10 minute walk. The restaurant is outdoors where you are cozily nested among trees and fairy lights. The food is outstanding and we loved the atmosphere. This is hands down one of the best restaurants on the island!
Our Recommendations: The Rendang Curry, The Peanut Butter Burger, and The Carrot Cake.
You will fall in love with the food and the beautiful setting at Pizza Regina. This restaurant is a few minutes walk from the main street but the home made wood fired pizza is absolutely outstanding! This is without a doubt the best pizza on Gili T; maybe even in all of Indonesia!
Our Recommendations: Carbonara Pizza, Regina`s Pizza, and Nutella Pizza.
Casa Vintage Beach
Casa Vintage Beach is a place that draws you in for the remarkable Jamaican food and keeps you hanging around for hours! You could spend all afternoon swinging in a hammock or lounging on the sand; and enjoy the bonfires, music, and lights of the evenings. Come here for dinner and watch the beautiful sunset!
Our Recommendations: Yellow Chicken Wrap, Jerk Chicken, Cassava Wedges, Snickers Cheesecake.
The Night Market is the best place on the island to try local cuisine. Busy and located right on the main street; you wont be able to miss it! Peruse through the multiple vendors to find literally any Indonesian dish you can think of! The food is authentic and you cant beat the price!
Our Recommendations: There are honestly so many different things to try here; ask the stall owners what they recommend and go from there!
